Capt. Harris’ Bio:
I have been working on boats my entire life, both in Chicago and Fort Lauderdale. I currently
have a 100 Ton Masters license but I’m looking to upgrade in the near future. I also have
my STCW-95, First Aid/CPR, PADI Scuba Certified and Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP.)
For the past three seasons here in Chicago, I’ve been working for the Wendella Boat Company doing
tours of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. There, I am one of the captains of the Wendella LTD.
( 70 ft, 72 tons, 220 passengers.)
My winters are spent in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area working on
private yachts. I’ve worked on several yachts, helping the captains and crew prepare for the
Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the Miami Show.
