Windy City Yacht Brokerage, LLC was founded by Jeff Pierce in 2004 to bring the very highest level of service and marketing to the owners of larger boats in the Chicago area.
Listings are published in YachtWorld, BoatTraderOnline.com and on the WindyCityYachts.com home page that receives over 1,000,000 hits per year. Virtual Tours of each listing over 40' are also provided. In addition, listings are advertised monthly in Lakeland Boating.

Jeff has a long history as a boater that began in early childhood when he learned how to sail and water-ski at the family’s cottage in northern Wisconsin. When his children were young, he taught them how to water-ski behind an 18’ speed boat. For five years, he owned a 27’ Sea Ray that the family enjoyed on the Fox Lake Chain. This was followed by a 37’ Sea Ray in Burnham Harbor for eight years. In 2006, from a bank repossession, Jeff purchased a 52’ Jefferson that had been abandoned for four years. During the next two years, he painstakingly restored and updated the Broke-R, doing most of the work himself.
Jeff’s interest in boating led him to become a yacht broker after 35 years of sales and sales management in the computer and networking industries. During those years, he won numerous awards as a top performer. Becoming a yacht broker has been the fulfillment of a lifetime passion for boating. Jeff is dedicated to helping people find just the right boat to make their lives more enjoyable and more meaningful.
Additionally, Jeff has been a member of the Chicago Yacht Club for years, serving on their Board, the Power Fleet Committee, the Stations Committee and as head of the Technology Working Group.
Professionally, Jeff is a member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America. In July, 2007, he received a Florida salesman license--one of only few brokers in the upper Midwest to have done so. In 2008, he passed the rigorous test to be awarded the “Certified Professional Yacht Broker” designation. Fewer than 10% of all brokers in the US have received this designation.
Jeff has an Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the Univ. of Chicago. He resides in Chicago, Illinois.
